About Zurich Tourism

The biggest city in the whole of Switzerland, Zurich is an important centre of culture and commerce, with much financial activity centred around the Bahnhofstrasse and in particular, within the Parade-Platz. Located on the north-westerly side of the vast Lake Zurich and based around the wide Limmat River, the city is full of tourist appeal, particularly around the historic Altstadt district (Old Town).

When flying into Zurich Airport (ZRH) and staying in this part of Switzerland, be sure to pay a visit to the city's exceptional Kunsthaus Zürich art museum, the cultural Swiss National Museum, the family orientated Zoological Gardens, the 12th-century Grossmünster church, and the neighbouring St. Peter's Church, which dominates the area with its clock tower and enormous clock face.
